CCTV Inspection

CCTV (closed circuit television) inspections are an essential tool in establishing the integrity of a chimney or a liner. They can be used to identify any defects, faults, blockages or damages in a chimney which could be unsafe to use. By their very nature, flues are hidden, which is where CCTV comes into its own for inspecting your chimney thoroughly.

If you’ve been unfortunate enough to suffer a serious chimney fire then it is recommended that the flue is swept and a CCTV inspection is carried out to ensure the chimney is still safe to use.

If a previously blocked off fireplace is reopened, a sweep and CCTV inspection should be carried out to check the condition of the chimney prior to it being used.
